A Bay Area radio DJ has gone missing without a trace and may have left a chilling final message to his fans and loved ones after vanishing. 

Jeffrey 'JV' Vandergrift, 54, host of The JV Show on radio station Wild 94.9, was last seen around 10 pm on Thursday at his home in San Francisco. 

A post on Vandergrift's official Instagram account on August 20 was recently edited to change the captions to past tense, thanking his listeners and saying he's had a good life. 

'Thank you for a wonderful life-filed w joy, laughs, pain & struggle. It’s been a great journey. Your support & prayers meant the world,' the caption reads. 

His listeners, friends, and family are now asking the public to help locate him and bring him home.

The post, according to his Twitter account, was originally shared as a celebration of National Radio Day. 

'It's #NationalRadioDay I know, who gives a fart!!? Been at 94 since 94. Wow, that's a long time!! Super grateful for each of you who have been on this journey w me,' he wrote at the time. 

Since editing the post and going missing, the comments section has since turned into a place for his fans and loved ones to send him love and support in hopes he may see it. 

'Dear JV. You are loved. We are all praying for you and thinking about you,' wrote one person. 

'We are all praying for you and thinking about you. Sometimes it's nice to just get away and clear our minds but we are worried about you,' said a commenter. 

'JV….. listen to your listeners. We've been listening to you since the 1990's. Now it's your turn to listen to your listeners. You are so loved!! We still need 40 plus years of listening to you on the radio ! Praying for your safe return back to your family,' wrote another fan. 

'Hey buddy, come home. We miss you and love you brotha. At least let us know you're safe,' said another person. 

Fans also gathered outside of the iHeart Radio San Francisco station over the weekend to leave flowers and messages of support for Vandergrift and his coworkers.

Natasha has been silent about her husband's disappearance as she works closely with investigators.

She is a former Playboy model and actress who is featured on the DJ's radio show. The model was commonly seen on various ads for Target, Sony and Marriott.

Her latest focus is her Instagram where she shows off modeling photos and her figure to her 2 million followers.

JV and Natasha tied the knot in 2006 after three years of dating. They later renewed their wedding vows in 2017.

The couple quickly joined together for various projects, including the production of their shows, the Dog House Comedy Show.

While the two thrived in the spotlight, JV took a short break in 2021 after he was diagnosed with Lyme disease, according to The Sun.

Officials with the San Francisco Police Department released a statement last week asking the public to be on the lookout for the 'at risk' man. 

In a statement released by Vandergrift's radio station, his coworkers said they are worried sick about him and are working with police to bring him home.  

'We are deeply concerned, as we know you are, that our own JV has been reported missing by the SFPD,' Wild 94.9 said in a statement.

'We're working closely with them and his wife, Natasha, who is also a dear friend and member of the WiLD 94.9 family. We are sending love, thoughts, and prayers to JV and will share more information as we receive it,' the statement continued. 

Vandergrift is described as a white male, 6’0”, 180 pounds, bald, and brown eyes. 

Police say he has several tattoos including ones on his arms and above his right ear and was last seen wearing black sweatpants.
