GLAMOUR's Women of the Year Awards Is Back For 2023

GLAMOUR's Women of the Year Awards, in partnership with Samsung, are back for 2023 and honoured the gamechangers and feminist heroes who inspire us every damn day at the most epic celebration in central London.

Taking place on Tuesday 17th October at One Marylebone, the GLAMOUR Women of the Year Awards, in partnership with Samsung and the latest innovative Galaxy Z Flip5 smartphone, welcomed a whole host of special guests, honourees, and presenters, including Lily Allen, Halle Bailey, Georgia Harrison, Hannah Waddingham, Ariana DeBose, America Ferrera and The Lionesses.

Presented by Katherine Ryan, Canadian comedian, writer, actor and presenter, we recognised some of the year's biggest names in music, television, film, sport and media; and shined a spotlight on women who are truly game-changing in their field.

Whether they were challenging the patriarchal male gaze through their work or fighting for the representation of marginalised communities both on- and off-screen, or using their voice to challenge society's systemic rape culture, these Women of the Year make our world a better place – and we thank them for it.

This week, GLAMOUR unveiled our Women of the Year 2023 global honouree and UK Impact Award winner, America Ferrera, who looked sensational in white at the event. America, 39, is a producer, director, award-winning actress, and co-founder of Harness and Poderistas, two non-profit organisations for social change. In her cover interview, America reveals how she has united her two passions – acting and activism – to impact society. Alongside her as a global honouree is Millie Bobby Brown, 19, an award-winning actress, beauty founder, producer, bestselling author and the youngest ever appointed UNICEF Goodwill ambassador. In her interview, she talks about love, learning to speak out, and preparing to say goodbye to the show that made her a global superstar. We will be announcing our full winners and their cover interviews in the coming days.

Speaking about the inspiring event, Deborah Joseph, European Editorial Director at GLAMOUR, said: “With so many incredible women who have stepped up, raised their voice and challenged the status quo in 2023, there is plenty to celebrate at this year’s GLAMOUR Women of the Year. We can’t wait to bring together the changemaking women from all walks of life for our annual celebration of feminism in all its forms.”

GLAMOUR Women of the Year Awards is a globally recognised celebration of trailblazing female forces, with celebrations taking place around the world. GLAMOUR US will host its 33rd annual culture-defining event on November 7th, GLAMOUR Germany will host its inaugural event on the 2nd November, and GLAMOUR Spain and Mexico will host their events on October 26th and November 9th respectively.

Also joining as strategic partner for GLAMOUR's Women of The Year Awards are Tinder, the famous dating app that has been downloaded over 530 million times creating more than 75 billion matches over the past decade, helping young singles to find love.

Now spearheaded by a predominantly female executive team, Joanna Pons, Senior Marketing Director from Tinder says: "Tinder burst onto the dating scene over 10 years ago and led a societal shift that changed how people meet, forever. Enabling people to form relationships with someone that they may never have met in their daily lives.

“It has aided young singles to embark on a journey of self discovery and life enriching possibilities by facilitating new and (sometimes) unexpected connections.  It’s also empowered people to be their authentic selves as many young singles come out on Tinder before their friends and family. It’s that sense of authenticity and celebration of people that makes us proud to be part of this year’s GLAMOUR Women of the Year and sponsor of the ‘Creator of the Year Award’ - an award that reflects the desire to challenge the status quo, drive equality and create noise.”

Sol de Janiero, the Brazilian-inspired skin, hair and fragrance range, famous for their award-winning Bum Bum Cream, also join as supporting partner of GLAMOUR Women of The Year Awards. Our official hotel partner this year will be The Mayfair townhouse, a five-star property from the people who brought you Cliveden House and Chewton Glen. The townhouse – flamboyantly decorated with impeccable service – boasts a location slap bang in the heart of central London, offering a luxury haven from the bustling streets of Mayfair.
