CCTV Released After Swindon Hit And Run
Wiltshire Police are renewing their appeal for information following a serious injury collision on Dudmore Road, Swindon.
The incident took place at 12.44pm on Friday 8th March 2013 when a motorist failed to stop after being in collision with a pedestrian.
Sergeant Barrie Card from the Serious Collision Investigation Team said:
“I am glad to say that the pedestrian who was struck by the car who is being treated for his injuries at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, is responding well to his treatment and making steady progress. Officers from the collision investigation team have been working hard over the past couple of days trying to piece together what exactly happened that afternoon.
The officers involved in the investigation are keen to locate a grey/blue BMW 5 or 7 series saloon, pre 2004 which may have damage to its offside including damage to the offside mirror. Above is a photograph of a similar car.
We would like to speak with the person shown in the CCTV image below. We appeal to him, or anyone who knows him, to make contact with us as he may be able to help us with our enquiries. We would also like to hear from anyone who was in the Co-Op shop, on Groundwell Road shortly before this incident and any witnesses who may have seen this car in the area at that time or who witnessed the collision to come forward if they have not already done so.”
